AR Rahman, who has been receiving applause for composing the music of the recent film, Amar Singh Chamkila, is in awe of American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift. The Oscar Award-winning composer says he is open to the idea of collaborating with the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker. In a recent interview with Connect FM Canada, he said that as far as creating music with Taylor is concerned, the genre doesn’t matter. “Whatever she wants! If she wants a dance number, it will be a dance number, if she wants a romantic number, it will be a romantic number. She writes the lyrics anyway!” he shared.
Taylor, recently scripted history by becoming the first musician in the world to become a billionaire, joining the annual Forbes Billionaires List for the first time. Speaking about the same, Rahman, added that the “Blank Space” singer is an inspiration to the world of music. He continued, “If people take the power of music to do good things, it is great. Michael Jackson had the power to do that. He did a lot of charity concerts and did philanthropy work in Africa. It is nice to see Taylor attaining that. She has gone through so much. She got cheated and made a comeback. She is a good case study and inspiration for musicians.”
