Once again there was chaos in the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka match. Something similar to what was seen in last year’s World Cup. Then Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews was given time out. Bangladesh had appealed for this, which was widely criticized in the cricket world. But Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan then justified it citing the rules. Now Shakib’s teammate Mushfiqur Rahim did something, due to which the entire episode of November 2023 has become fresh.Host Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the third ODI match played in Chittagong.
At one time the Sri Lankan team was close to winning this match. He had taken 5 wickets for 130 runs of the Bangladeshi team which was chasing 236 runs. But Mushfiqur Rahim stood firm at the crease. He, along with Mehdi Hasan (25) and Rishad Hussain (48), led Bangladesh to victory. Rahim remained unbeaten after scoring 37 runs. In this way Bangladesh won the 3-match series 2-1.
