Team India suffered two major blows with allrounder Ravindra Jadeja and star batsman KL Rahul ruled out of the second Test match against England due to injuries, the cricket board said on Monday.
Rohit Sharma’s India, who are already without their star player Virat Kohli, lost the nail-biting opening Test by 28 runs in Hyderabad on Sunday. India are currently trailing the five-match series 0-1 and will head into the second Test with almost an inexperienced side. The second Test will be played in Visakhapatnam starting Friday.
BCCI on Monday added Sarfaraz Khan, Saurabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar to India’s squad.
