Siddharth Anand’s 2024 action film “Fighter,” starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor was carrying high expectations, and it did not disappoint ! However, one can argue that the film could have done better, and is currently trailing behind blockbusters like War and Pathaan, directed by Anand too.
Hrithik and Siddharth’s Fighter released on January 25 this year, to coincide with the Republic day weekend, it was the exact date on which Pathaan had released a year ago.
But while Fighter opened to Rs 22.5 crore , Pathaan had opened to Rs 57 crore. This is despite Pathaan releasing on a Wednesday, while Fighter released on a Thursday. On the next day, which was Republic day, Fighter clocked in Rs 39.5 crore, while Pathaan collected Rs 70.5 crore, one of the highest one day collections at the Indian Box Office. At the end of four days, Fighter stands at Rs 118 crore as per Sacnilk, while Pathaan had managed to earn Rs 166.75 in the same number of days.
