India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has disclosed he feared a potential amputation of his right leg following a scary car accident he survived 13 months ago.
In December 2022, Pant was en-route from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee to meet family when his car collided with the median divider. The accident occurred shortly after India’s win in the second Test against Bangladesh in Mirpur where Pant played a major role in victory.
If there was any nerve damage, there was a possibility of amputation. That is when I felt scared,” Pant said in Star Sports series ‘Believe: To Death & Back’ which documents his recovery.
