A layer of fog has descended upon several parts of north India, impacting visibility on Monday morning. The latest satellite imagery reveals the widespread presence of fog over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and the extreme northwest of Madhya Pradesh.
The affected regions are grappling with varying degrees of fog density, with some areas experiencing very dense fog. Major cities are reporting significantly reduced visibility, leading to concerns about transportation safety and potential delays.
The national capital on Monday recorded a minimum temperature at 6.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below the seasonal average, the IMD said. The IMD’s forecast for the day showed that the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 21 degrees, with the minimum at around 7 degrees.
