Earlier Shubman Gill’s scintillating return to form helped India post an imposing target of 399 against England which the Bazballers will fancy chasing down on Monday, the fourth day of the second Test. At Stumps on Sunday, England were in a good position posting 67/1 with ‘nighthawk’ Rehan Ahmed (batting on 9) and opener Zak Crawley (batting on 29) in the middle. The other opener Ben Duckett had started like a house on fire with a quickfire 27 off 28 balls before the veteran R Ashwin sent him back to the pavilion.

Earlier, Gill got the proverbial monkey off his back when he scored 104 runs to help India post the target. Axar Patel gave him able support with a well-made 45 but the others like Srikar Bharat and Ashwin could not add much to the score.
