A new political crisis unfolded in Haryana on Tuesday which saw the sudden resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his entire cabinet. Khattar was replaced by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nayab Singh Saini who took the oath as chief minister of Haryana hours after Khattar’s resignation.
The crisis began in the state after Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janata Party decided to back out of the ruling alliance in the state.
Now, after forming the new government in the state, CM Saini will prove his majority on the floor of the house.
