In Ayodhya on Monday to review status of crowd management and arrangements ahead of a line up of VVIP visits, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that with the weather improving, the government was expecting a “surge” in the number of devotees and tourists to the temple town, for which the administration and police need to be prepared.
After Ayodhya received an unprecedented 5 lakh visitors daily with the temple opening on Jan 22, the CM has been personally tracking developments in the city to ensure crowd management. In addition to this, various VVIP visits have been slotted for the coming weeks, including of cabinets and CMs of various states. In a meeting with officials of the zone and district on Monday, Yogi said that while darshan must be ensured for everyone, there must be much better crowd management in the city and main roads.
