Sarfaraz Khan, who went unsold during the Indian Premier League 2024 auction, is likely to be roped in by Chennai Super Kings as an injury replacement for Shivam Dube. The all-rounder was injured during one of the Ranji Trophy matches and will take eight weeks to recover.
According to media reports, the five-time champions don’t want to play the waiting game for Dube and have informed captain MS Dhoni about the situation.
According to a fan page of CSK on X, Dhoni has given a green signal to sign the aggressive batter, who has been in sensational form recently.
